Team Selection

Each year anyone who has been involved with the team in the prior 3 years is given the opportunity to stand for Captain (or Co-Captains), and then the community votes on who will captain the team for that season. Although the event is in August each year, team selection and preparation for the event is a mammoth task, beginning within a few weeks of the previous years event finishing, so for successful applicants the WTC is a year-long commitment.

Because of this selection process both the team management and the group of players and coaches that make up the final squad can change each year. The playing squad for the 2025 WTC has not yet been selected, but the Captain and several other management roles below have been confirmed so far. Note that if the the Captain(s) and Vice Captain(s) wish to play on the team they have to earn playing place like every other applicant, and are not automatically selected to play.

2024-25 Team Management

Returning for his third year as Captain, Tony is a well-known veteran of the ETC/WTC having attended each event since 2013. He'll be heading up the selection committee that picks the team for 2025, as well as applying for a playing spot.
